Project Overview
Get ready to be floored by this amazing flooring project we recently completed in a residential property in York.
Our team had the pleasure of installing luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring in a stunning herringbone parquet pattern in multiple areas of the house, including the kitchen, lounge, hallway, utility, and WC.
Project Challenges:
However, this project wasn’t all fun and games. We faced some challenges along the way, such as the subfloor needing reinforcement with fibreglass and having to deal with damp issues by applying two coats of damp-proof membrane (DPM). We also had to get creative with the Stairrods Ali transition trims to ensure they blended perfectly with the different types of flooring.
But with careful planning and our team’s expertise, we were able to overcome these challenges and achieve an outstanding end result. But, as they say, no pain, no gain. And boy did we gain a lot from this project. Not only did we get to work with some amazing partners, such as Ollie from Kitchens of York who fitted the kitchen, Counter Interiors who supplied the kitchen furniture, and Andreas from Uzin who provided us with all the vital specifications for the flooring.
Project Results
The end result was simply jaw-dropping. The herringbone parquet pattern added a touch of elegance and sophistication to the kitchen and lounge areas, while the hallway, utility, and WC had a warm and inviting atmosphere. The Stairrods Ali transition trims connected everything seamlessly, making the whole house look cohesive and stunning.

In conclusion, this project was a true testament to the power of creativity and careful planning. We’re incredibly proud of the end result and confident that our clients are thrilled too.
