Welcome back to another RH Flooring Solutions flooring case study. This week we’re looking at Sisal Weave by Victoria Carpets. This hard wearing carpet is part of the NatureBorn range and is perfect for high traffic locations such as stairs and hallways.
Carpeting Project
When choosing your new carpet, it’s important to select the right material for the location you intend to cover.
High traffic areas such as stairs, hallways or entry points need hard wearing, tough fibres in order to maintain their structural integrity. Too soft a fibre, more suited to a bedroom or living room and you’ll end up with a matted, flattened mess.
Sisal is a fibre from the Agave plant native to Mexico, but cultivated in many countries for rope and hardwearing textiles. With similar properties to Hessian or Hemp fibres, these stair coverings by Victoria Carpets will last a long time which is why Victoria Carpets gave this range of floor coverings a 15 year warranty!
For this project, the client wanted something a little different and opted not to carpet the full width of the staircase and instead chose a deep blue edging strip. A unique choice that gives us an impression of luxury yachts or cruise ships, and who knows, maybe there is a sun deck at the top of those stairs!
